The 2017 Old Bastards Vintage Motorcycle (OBVMC) Rally was a resounding success. The weather was excellent for the entire weekend. And the campground was fully booked. The gates recorded 500 plus people who came to play.

2 Road Runs were held on Saturday morning and there were more then 100 riders who participated.

There were better than 15 vendors for the swap meet selling parts, magazines, books, leathers, jewelry, pottery and other arts and even a few motorcycles were bought and sold. There were also some painters and customizers displaying their skills. We would like to extend an invitation to even more vendors for 2018.

The afternoon was consumed with a series of motorcycle games for participants of all ages. The most popular event of the afternoon was the blindfolded rider. This event was held specifically for side car and trike enthusiasts and blindfolded drivers were guided by their passengers to run over a series of water balloons. There were barrel races and squirt gun events as well as many other conventional games. All of the games will return next year. Send us some ideas for new games if you like.

The evening began on Saturday with a sold-out chicken BBQ followed by a lively dance fronted by the band Loaded Six String. They rocked us out with music from the 60s and 70s. They were so popular they will be back for the 2018 rally by popular demand.

There were some groups who extended the evening well into the early morning hours around camp fires. Sunday morning brought more sunshine and an excellent show and shine. There were multiple entries in all categories.

Special appreciation goes out to all of the volunteers who manned gates, sold regalia, ran the games, organized the road runs and kept things orderly throughout the weekend. This event could not happen without all of you. Finally, a very special thanks to Sherri for all of her commitment to memberships and moral support.

We also want to thank the park committee for breakfasts and lunch, the church group for the BBQ and the park staff for hosting us.

We thank all who supported the event and look forward to 2018.
